Pluto Savage is the countess vulgaria trawling hell for trophies. it's KaraVan Park backing the ride on mower over your neighbours offspring. It's Miss Carriage avenging her own death. It's Fierce Platinum snarling out through a cage of tangled monofibre and it's Kandy Flange, dazed, pink and lost in the stairwell.

Pluto has swallowed Drag, Spoken Word and Cabaret, semi digested them and spat them out on the floor in an unsightly steaming pile. Creating original and thought provoking work which addresses a wide range of un-pleasantries. Pluto can always be relied upon to bring up whatever it is we'd rather not talk about.

Pluto's brand of gender disruptive performance interferes with stereotypes and questions the systems of our culture, both that of the wider community and of our own queer elite. Ranging from lighthearted acerbic comedy to heartfelt exposures of spirit Pluto's work is always executed with integrity and insight.

about me ::

"I explored mainstream theatre as a teenager but soon realized that the struggle out of the pit of mediocre actors via TV commercials and soap operas required a certain lack of individuality which I was not prepared to practice. I wasn’t going to allow myself to be palatable. So I shifted my focus onto performance art.

i hit the faggot scene in my mid teens and disillusioned by the clean and preened i found my way into Sydney's filthy queer underbelly where i performed at clubs and events such as Kooky and Club Bent throughout the mid and late 90's.

i moved to melbourne where i enjoyed a couple of years of performing at events like Witness Protection Program Social Club, Ouch! and Homocidal.

Then to Byron Bay where I performed at events like Squeezebox and Edgecore. I'm now back in Sydney and can be seen making trouble here and in Melbourne.. Recent projects have included making work for Quick and Dirty at the Performance Space and Upstart Alley in Melbourne."
